Don’t want the Cover Block to extend fully across the screen width? Set it to alignwide and keep your margins in place (example below before patterns).
You can even adjust existing block patterns to be a different width. OR even adjust a block pattern that has been provided to remove the fixed background image (like this example) so that text will not scroll over top.
