The staff at the Art Gallery of Sudbury pride themselves with trying to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. We are committed to excellence in serving all customers to the best of our ability.
Accessibility Training and Communication
All Front Desk staff have had accessibility training and are happy to aid visitors to the best of their abilities. We do our best to adapt with a person with disabilities or special needs. If there is a better way to communicate with you please do not hesitate to let us know.
Mobility and Wheelchair Accessibility
We are unfortunately situated within a heritage building which limits our ability to make all public spaces available to everyone.
The Gift Shop and Gallery 1 are wheelchair accessible via ramps, if needed. Unfortunately, all other public spaces within the Art Gallery of Sudbury are only accessible by stairs.
People with reduced mobility can also gain access through the back entrance of the gallery in order to limit or eliminate the use of stairs. For entry to the back entrance please call us in advance at (705) 675-4871 ext. 221.
Service Person and/or Service Animal
Admission is free for attendants who accompany a person with a disability.
The gallery also allows admission into the building for guide or service dogs accompanying a person who requires special assistance. Before entry, staff may ask a person to provide documentation (template, letter or form) from a health professional that confirms the person needs the service animal for reasons relating to their disability.
Questions and Feedback
The Art Gallery of Sudbury welcomes feedback on how we provide accessible customer service. Customer feedback will help us identify barriers and respond to concerns. If you would like to provide feedback or have questions for the gallery. You are welcome to verbally pass the information to the Front Desk staff, call the gallery at (705) 675-4871 ext.221 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
