Central Registrar

The Art Gallery of Sudbury will open Central Registrar, transforming Gallery Two into a temporary Permanent Collections Lab. This project gives the public a rare behind-the-scenes look at the inner working of an active digitization project. Works from the Art Gallery of Sudbury’s permanent collection (including the Laurentian University Museum and Arts Centre Collection) will be brought from the vaults. Each piece will be photographed, condition report created, digitized and recorded with PastPerfect Museum Software. Collections Registrar staff will be available for questions during weekday Gallery hours.
