This latest series of collages by Sydney Rose explores theoretical representations of women and the Earth in our present, past and future. A combination of found imagery from 1970s encyclopedic guides and sewing patterns for women’s lingerie, Hindsight represents a general apocalyptic and skeptical perception of our planet’s future: predictions for her demise, explorations of her misuse and our undeniable, irreparable connection to all things in the natural world.
Sydney Rose is a graduate of the photography program at OCAD University.
